[1B] (Abstraction ) HOW Do You See?
2D Abstract ideas
- 4 butter papers

Short introduction
When we talk about butterfly, butterfly gives people the impression of graceful, charming and heart-warming creatures. Some people even believe that butterflies got their name because of their soft texture like butter on their wings, and the -fly because they fly, of course. ''Uh-huh, It must have related with butter.'' Perhaps it's like a soft butter flying? that's what comes into my mind when I think about how butterflies got their name.
Sometimes when we heard about 'butterfly' ,we even naturally think about something that's magical. Magical stuff? For me , what comes into my mind is Pokemon! There's a pokemon named Butterfree which is a butterfly with super power. Its wings are covered with poisonous powders that fall off continuously as it flies. Other than that, there's 'crystal-sparkling'sound effect when it falls, how fantasy!
Hence, based on my knowledge, I came out with a few key words which resemble butterfly.
Key words: Elegance, Joyful, Freedom, Graceful, Smooth, Dreamy.

Based on what we have done for Geometrical Transformation, we have to produce 4 abstract ideas with key words.

Abstract idea 1
I created this based on the flight path of a group of butterflies. I drew waving ribbon to represent the graceful way of flying patterns. Because clothes or ribbon are flexible.

Key words
- Elegance
- Graceful

Abstract idea 1

Abstract idea 2
This is created based on the Abstract idea 1. I added bubbles-liked circle to resemble joy. As if we are happy when we see a group of butterflies flying freely.

Key words:
-Joy
-Freedom

Abstract idea 2

Abstract idea 3
This is created based on the basking process of butterfly. Butterflies do not generate enough heat from their own metabolism to provide them with the heat and energy they need to fly. Therefore, butterflies rely on heat absorbed from the sun. They undergo basking in order to absorb energy. This drawing separated in two parts, one is the wings and one is the Tornado-liked-lines which represent the sunlight. So basically they're both connected , I wanted to draw that the sunlights created the wings.

Key words:
-Dreamy
-Smooth

Abstract idea 3

Abstract idea 4
This abstract is about the wings transformed into flower petals.

Key words:
-Dreamy
-Freedom

Abstract idea 4
